On Pictures…
This past weekend, my best friend of nearly a decade, who I affectionately refer to as my brother because chosen family is everything, came to visit me in Philly for the first time with his girlfriend. The four of us spent several days together drinking, making pictures, and chatting about life. Below you’ll find the highlights of the weekend, all taken on my Fujifilm X100V. Enjoy.
The greens and blues all work together to make this a wonderfully cohesive photo. I’m just a sucker for my brother’s sly smile, so this one makes my heart happy.
The colors make this picture. Of course, this is a deeply trendy composition, but that doesn’t devalue the photo.
I love all the small details here. The hat matches the tone of the grass, the pop of red, the Super 8 camera, and the quiet smile. All wonderful.
Pure. Joy.
More. Joy.
Really love how quiet this picture is, with the guitar playing and the reading. The blues all work together, which helps tie both the subjects together.
My brother loves guitar, I love books and letters. Together, this picture is a really sweet capture of everything that makes us.
Final morning: Coffee, photobooks, puzzles, and morning light. Gorgeous.
